4/24/2024 0 Comments The simpsons video game for pspNote that technically, “RetroArch” should be pronounced like “RetroARTCH” versus “RetroARK”, because it was first based on Arch Linux, but both pronunciations are considered acceptable. The frontend for RetroArch is often referred to as the “libretro frontend”. It can run on the usual platforms like Windows, MacOS and Linux, but it also runs on iOS and Android for tablets and phones, as well as on game consoles like PS2, PS3, PSP, PS Vita, Wii, Wii U, 2DS, 3DS, Switch, and more. RetroArch is a frontend for emulators, game engines and media players. However, if you are using a system that relies primarily on RetroArch for emulation (like Xbox), or you have a beefy PC that can run well regardless of optimizations, you may find success in emulating higher-end systems in RetroArch, too. For more modern consoles, it is often more efficient to rely on standalone emulators, which are generally more optimized than RetroArch. RetroArch really shines on retro systems, particularly PlayStation 1 and below games. The video will primarily be done on Windows PC, but the same method will apply to MacOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Vita, and Xbox platforms, and more. This guide is meant to help you get set up with various RetroArch iterations. In this guide I’m going to demystify some of the more peculiar things about this emulation frontend, and show you how I set up RetroArch on my own gaming platforms. But it does have quite a steep learning curve. RetroArch is one of my favorite programs to use for retro game emulation, because it can emulate many systems. Which makes the game longer because of that & it adds some more length to the game.Last updated: 28FEB2022 (see Changelog for details) The plot is much longer than the Xbox 360 & PS3 Versions, It's also a good thing because the game can be originally beaten in 5 hours or so. The Wii version has exclusive bonus mini-games! The playable characters get a new jump kick move, which is actually helpful! Some of the weapons/tools have unlimited energy & don't need special ammo, which makes attacks such as Lisa's Saxophone very OP! The playable characters are forced to find special ammo for they're separate moves! No Beer & No TV Crazy Man!Ĭollect packages is USELESS, because the energy bar increases the health bar!Īwful screen crunch when playing co-op in the PS2 version! Nagging Marge only gets 3 levels in the entire game & Mr. Thanks to hardware & memory issues, THERE'S HUGE CUTS IN ALMOST ALL OF THE LEVELS! To make matters more pathetic, is that THEY MADE A 2004 PROTOTYPE OF THE GAME ON THE XBOX, WHICH INCLUDED A TINY SPRINGFIELD TO EXPLORE IN!Ĭontrols are confusing on the PSP Version & the Wii version, due to the PSP's lack of buttons & the Wii's stupid motion controls! To make matters even worse, THE WII VERSION HAS NO STANDARD CONTROLS MEANING YOU'RE FORCED TO USE MOTION CONTROLS!Īll power ups were replaced with shields that can be used for all the playable characters, which kills the variety!Ĭostumes are also present but the playable characters only wear them in some levels, which also kills the variety! Were just talking about PS2 version, PSP version & the Wii version because it did a poor job of porting a good game.įree-roaming Springfield was completely removed, which made no sense to the PS2 Version because Hit & Run had the power to do that in 2003. Today were ranting on The Simpsons Game (PS2/PSP/Wii) & why it sucks! Also were not covering the Xbox 360 version, PS3 version & the DS version, since those versions are good.
